Synopsis

Forced into taking the crown, Lorn's first task was to end the civil war and feuding of his own people. The forces at his command were pitifully small, mostly untrained compared to those arrayed against him. The boy king quickly has to learn to deal with the best and the worst of dwarf, dragon and human nature in order that he and his people survive.
Lorn's story and that of those around him is a roller coaster ride of alliances, battles, deception, love and hate, revenge and victory, each bringing their own share of tears and laughter as the boy king becomes a man whilst fighting for his life, his love and awesome powers of the long lost rainbow sword.
Magic and mayhem ride side by side in this story of good and evil. Deeds of heroism and treachery litter the pages of Lorn's life as the nation is forged on the anvils of war.

Chris is 62 and has been married for 40 years. He has a son and daughter and 3 small granddaughters who are fascinated (or somewhat wary) by the fact that their granddad has a black belt in Karate.
Born in London after World War II, Chris moved to Quendon in Essex at aged 10. He's continued to live in Essex but will soon be moving to the South of France where he's become a familiar face at the very many wine-tasting sessions in the Languedoc.
Chris has always had an interest in history and the supernatural and has, apparently, spent quite a bit of time ghost-hunting.
When Chris isn't writing, ghost-hunting or drinking wine, he's been known to produce a pretty good watercolour painting.
